1st Luminous Mystery: The Baptism of the Lord

Saint Padre Pio:

“Yes, through baptism the Christian rises in Jesus. He is raised to a supernatural life; he receives the beautiful hope to sit one day in glory at the heavenly throne. What a dignity! The Christian vocation requires that we don’t tie our hearts to the things of this lowly world. The only concern, the constant effort of a good Christian who lives according to his vocation, has to be a striving to obtain the eternal goods.”

2nd Luminous Mystery: The Wedding of Cana

Saint Padre Pio:

“When our misery frightens us and we are afraid of our ingratitude, when the memory of our guilt seeks to prevent us from coming before God our Father because we might provoke His displeasure, then we have to have recourse to Our Lady. She is so gentle, all merciful, so kind, so tender to us all. She is our mother.”

3rd Luminous Mystery: The Proclamation of the Kingdom

Saint Padre Pio:

“If God can turn bad things into to good things, how much more will He do this for those who gave themselves complete to Him. If you love God with all your heart, everything will turn out fine. And if you do not know from where the good shall come, then be sure: it will definitely come!”

4th Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration

Saint Padre Pio:

“Remember, and keep it always in mind, that Calvary is the mountain of the saints. Remember that the suffering is short, but the reward eternal.”

5th Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Eucharist

Saint Padre Pio:

“If we don’t have love, we have to receive Holy Communion more fervently. A person who adores the Eucharist with tenderness, will love also his neighbor. Whoever is crude and careless with the Eucharist, will treat the others in the same way.”
